We’re excited to share that our demo paper „PRIVATAR: Privacy-friendly Mobile Avatars for Sick School Children“ has been accepted to the Demo Track at Mensch und Computer (MuC) 2026! 🎉
At MuC 2026, we will present our PRIVATAR demonstrator, showcasing how privacy-aware telepresence robots can support long-term ill children in participating in classroom activities while giving all stakeholders meaningful control over their privacy.
This work is the result of a great interdisciplinary collaboration between Luca Hernández Acosta, Delphine Reinhardt, Melik Alp Özcelik, Xuying Huang, Philipp Schütz, Michael Prilla, Maren Bennewitz, and Oliver Gerstheimer.
If you’re attending MuC 2026 in Duisburg, come and visit our demo! We’d be happy to show you our demonstrator, discuss the underlying research, and exchange ideas about privacy, human-robot interaction, and inclusive education.
Looking forward to seeing you in Duisburg!
